A little about me

After my studies at Studio Herman Teirlinck, I worked full time in theater as an actor, director and coordinator. In the early 1990s, I moved to Brussels and graduated from HRITS. Until the late 1990s, I worked in various positions on many films, as assistant director, set designer, production manager, script and director. In this way I was able to experience many facets of the film set.

In 1999, I co-founded Face It Casting. Getting into the studio with actors and seeing how the characters come to life is my greatest passion. This has also allowed me to work on numerous commercials, TV series, short films and especially feature films. With the rapid development of the digital world, where auditions often take place online, I started focusing on my new position as Intimacy Coordinator and Acting Coach. In this role, I have done a number of domestic and foreign film and television projects, which closely matches my way of working. In addition to my new role as Intimacy Coordinator, I also found it important to take the training of Confidential Counselor.

Intimacy Coördinator

As intimacy coordinator, my primary goal is to ensure that intimate and sexual scenes in productions are performed safely and respectfully. I understand the importance of creating a safe and comfortable environment for actors and crew members to explore these sensitive scenes. My approach to coordinating intimacy is based on communication, respect and cooperation.

I am also passionate about fostering a culture of consent on set. My work involves creating a place where actors feel comfortable stating their boundaries, and everyone involved in the scene understands what is expected of them. I believe in using clear communication and creating comprehensive guidelines to ensure that everyone's boundaries are respected.

In addition to my training at Studio Herman Teirlinck and at HRITS, I attended intimacy coordination training with clear instructions to create a safe space for actors and crew members. It is important to work closely with directors, producers and actors to understand their needs in order to provide guidance and support throughout the production process.

As an intimacy coordinator, I have done a number of domestic and foreign film and television projects. As such, I have experience working with diverse casts and crew members and the unique challenges that can arise with each production.

My ultimate goal is to foster a culture of respect and safety on set, where everyone feels safe to state their boundaries and ask questions. I believe that by working together, we can create a more inclusive and equitable industry for all involved.
